I got married in 1997 to my lovely husband. A few years later we began a journey that transformed our faith – the experience becoming parents. When we started we had no idea what was ahead of us!
Like any couple, we were excited at the idea that we were embarking on this journey. However it took some time before I finally conceived and when I did in 2003 I miscarried the pregnancy before the critical 12 weeks.
Following this event, we went through a roller-coaster of miscarriages, ectopic pregnancy and 7 different operations.
My husband and I realised the challenge we were facing and so as born again Christians we knew we had to search the word of God – Bible for what He declared about our situation and his promises. Here are the words of God we stood upon. We realised we had been called to battle for our children and we had to lean on the full assurance that we will win based on God’s promises.
Miraculously in the 10th year of our marriage, I conceived our first successful though very challenging pregnancy and just over 2 years later another successful and uneventful pregnancy.
Today we are blessed with 2 lovely boys, you can read our testimony here.

LEEN (Ladies Encouraging Empowering Network) was initially established over 9 years ago as an email networking portal to share with women waiting and trusting the Lord for their miracle baby. The Lord had impressed it upon me so emphatically that as much as I wanted to block it out then and believe it’s to do with my imagination He had affirmed it in many ways.
What made this such a difficult task at the time was due to the fact that we had been trying for our children with no success for over 5 years, I felt it was an impossible task to be asked to undertake without a testimony of my own at the time but I thank God I obeyed.
I did not have to have my baby in my hand physically before I can encourage myself and others alike in believing the promises in the bible. Hebrews 11 v 1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence not seen. God was really dealing with me personally and I learnt so much during this time.
In the first and second year it was very exhilarating when other ladies were beginning to experience the miracle of carrying a successful pregnancy and giving birth to their children. Although I was still trusting and waiting for my bundle of joy yet it was very important for me to be ecstatically happy for them without holding back.
After 2 years of coordinating the network I got my miracle too; my testimony is covered in the testimony section.
A year later due to a number of different factors, unfortunately I had to put the network to bed as I could not dedicate the time required to keep it going.
It is now 2015 and God has re-ignited the fire in me to resurrect this network and take it to the next level using internet as a tool to spread the great work that God has done and is still doing – He is no respecter of persons and in His own time he makes all things beautiful!!
God ministered to me that there is a greater purpose for the trial and it was not just for me to go through those trials, have my children and then keep all that to myself and immediate family.
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
2 Corinthians 1 v 3 – 4
You may also be wondering – I am not a Christian and I don’t know how this works but I’m tired of trying to conceive without any positive outcomes!
All I can say to you is to come on a journey with God by committing your life to Jesus Christ and your life will never remain the same ever again.
Jesus Christ is first and foremost a SAVIOUR and he wants to build a relationship with you and when you build this relationship with him you will be a changed person.
